Dec. 22 — Wednesday I went up to Otisco & paid my tax &Mike Sheridan rode up with me in the sleigh. Itblowed &snowed. My tax was $17 .15. I went toVesper & got some molasses for my hams & Roserode down to Maties. Dec.23 - Thursday I cut our sausage meat and got the bobs out & the wagons put back. It snowed & atnight went toTully in thelittle sleigh & got a express pkg. from Frank for Christmas. I stayed until 11:21train to see if Leon come but he did not come. Itblowed some coming home. I got aquart of Oysters & 2 lbs. crackers atReagan's. Dec. 24 — Friday I went toTully in the afternoon &found Leonthere. He come on the noon train from Niagara Falls. GuySpaulding rode down with me. It was pretty good sleighing. Dec. 25 - Saturday Leon went down to Maties. Itsnowed & the wind was in the south. We had a good dinner at 3o'clock & at 7o'clock we had Oysters. Dec. 26 - Sunday It snowed all day from the northwest. Willie Sheridan come up to see Leon. Willie & Leon went over to France Ryan's in the evening. Dec.27 — Monday Ibroke some tracks around the house with the colts &bobs &drawed a little wood &took Earl Morseladder home. Leon went down to Willies in the evening. Dec.28 - Tuesday Tried to churn butter buthad togive it up. Leontook Maude & the cutter & drove down to Fred Hollenbecks in the afternoon & Rose& I put up 25bushel potatoes to take toTully. Leon went down to Willie Sheridan's in the evening. Dec. 29 - Wednesday It was 12 degrees above zero. I fixed the north door lock. In the afternoon Rose, Leon& I went up to NelsonRice's. It was a nice day but cold. At night I wrote a letter to Sue & Electa, 538 E.Jefferson St. Atbedtime it was 2 degrees below zero. Dec. 30 - Thursday It was 4 degrees above zero & the wind blew & little fine snow. The coldest day we have had. Dec.31 — Friday I went to Tully in the bobs.
